Toss a coin to Jaskier! Season two of The Witcher is almost upon us, and there’s a soundtrack to go with it, including some new Jaskier-sung tunes.
Today, Milan Records dropped the lead single, “Power and Purpose,” and you can listen to its powerful and purposeful score here.
“Power and Purpose” is just one song, however, off of the season two Witcher album. The entire soundtrack features an original score by Joseph Trapanese as well as three additional vocal tracks performed by none other than Joey Batey, the actor who plays the bard Jaskier (aka the BFF of Henry Cavill’s Geralt of Rivia) on the Netflix show.
Batey’s three new songs come after the popularity of the season one tune, “Toss A Coin To Your Witcher.” Will Batey as Jaskier have another viral hit or three from season two? It’s hard to beat “Toss A Coin,” a song that includes the lyrics, “He can’t be bleat!,” something I just found out when researching for this article. I have faith, however, in Jaskier and the composers behind him—Geralt’s exploits are always song-worthy, and I can’t wait to see how the bard has translated them into music.
The Witcher: Season Two soundtrack album will come out on December 17, the same day that season two of The Witcher premieres on Netflix.
